Your Support Matters

What is it about?

Dream it.

LoveLink was created in the hope of offering help to children with limitations in their lives with more opportunities and resources. They may lack the care from their families of origin or be forced to carry the burden of financial stress, but each of them deserves love, support, and a brighter future.

Build it.

LoveLink hopes to create a platform to provide material and service resources for foster kids, including monetary donations, educational opportunities, and networking communication spaces. We hope to serve as a bond of love and care to connect and bring support to more children.

Grow it.

LoveLink wants to grow this issue more visibly to a larger population. We want to connect more people, starting from ourselves; whether you are contributing love or being helped, you are an integral part of this big family, and we welcome everyone to join!

I am Xiaomeng Fan, also go by Ellen, and I am currently an 12th grader at Miramonte High School. For a long time ago, I have been thinking about if there’s any contribution I could output to the world, and this became clear when I started working with a team of volunteers caring for children with leukemia and communicating with foster kids who were forced to be separated from their parents: I would like to bring more help and love to children with obstacles and restrictions in their lives. The LoveLink platform was created to connect more people with hope, to bring help within reach of foster kids and their families, and hopefully to share some of the stress of their lives, including material and financial aids, educational and service resources, and a platform to connect hearts and minds. I hope to make some small difference in the lives of these children and families, starting with myself; even if it's just the little surprise of receiving a small gift during the holidays, it's the reason for the existence of LoveLink.

My name is Jenny Zhao, and I amcurrently a senior at Miramonte High School. I have always been thinking about what I can do for the world in return for providing such a suitable environment, and I knew what I should do until I accidentally became a pen pal with a foster kid. I realized although foster families are trying their best to provide a home for them. Still, some of these children need a sense of being cared for and a place to express their feelings. So my friend Ellen and I have built up this website, LoveLink, trying to create a connection between society and foster family and wishing to bring our love. This platform could also help release their stress from various aspects such as financial, mental, material, etc. Although we can only contribute a small amount of effort, it could still accumulate like a snowball until it is enough to bring help.

I am Serene Duan, a senior at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Growing up in a loving family has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the care and support I've received. It has also nurtured a strong sense of responsibility to help those who are less fortunate, particularly children my age who lack adequate care but definitely deserve more love.

This concern sparked my desire to make a difference, inspiring me to become an advocate for foster children and join LoveLink.

As their advocate, I firmly believe in the transformative power of collective efforts to positively impact their lives. My favorite quote, “Cumulatively small decisions, choices, actions, make a very big difference,” perfectly resonates the essence of our mission. The challenging times of COVID-19 further strengthened this belief, as I witnessed the world rallying together to support one another. It showed me the immense potential we possess to change the lives of foster children by creating a platform that encourages people to make small sacrifices and unite in love and support.

My name’s Alex. I’m currently a sophomore at Miramonte High School, Orinda, CA. Through LoveLink, I wish to dedicate my love and passion to fostered children. One can say that we’re all young and full of potential. And I believe that is what’s unique about our organization. Lovelink wishes to provide new insights into this community through our similarities and hope to meet friends with shared interests. I love to play soccer and listen to KPOP music. I’ve also grown a love for anime ever since I was in elementary school. My favorite anime is Spirited Away, it’s simply so influential and impactful to my life and I’d suggest it to everyone I meet. I wish to spend my journey in LoveLink meeting more loving individuals and put my profound faith that we will spend a delightful time together and make our indelible marks to help foster children.
